How PSW care works
- Call or send a message. Tell us who needs care, where, and when.
- We plan the care together. We learn the person’s routine, health needs and preferences, and agree on a schedule.
- We match the right Care Pro by skills, availability and, where we can, language.
- Care starts. Each visit is checked in and timed in the Bamwan app, and you confirm the hours.

Families let our PSWs into their homes, so we take screening seriously.
- PSWs, RPNs and RNs who are screened, including police and vulnerable sector checks
- Nurses registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Staff who are bonded, insured and covered by WSIB
- A local office in Alliston and a phone line answered 24/7
We try to send the same PSW, or a small team, so your loved one sees familiar faces. If you need more than personal support, our nurses can help, and we also offer dementia care and overnight and 24-hour care.

Common questions
How many hours of PSW care can we book?
Anything from a short visit a few times a week to overnight or 24-hour care. Tell us what your family needs and we will build a schedule around it.
Is PSW care covered by OHIP?
Publicly funded home care in Ontario is arranged through Ontario Health atHome (call 310-2222). Many families get some funded hours and add private PSW hours from an agency like ours to cover evenings, weekends, overnights or extra help.
How quickly can a PSW start?
Call us and we will tell you right away when we can start. If someone is coming home from hospital, tell us the discharge date and we will plan around it.
Can we have the same PSW each time?
We aim for consistency. We match a PSW to your schedule and try to keep the same person, or a small team, on every visit.
Can a PSW help someone with dementia?
Yes. Many of our PSWs support people living with dementia. See our dementia care page.
